What a UK company lookup costs

One lookup, priced the way each provider publishes it. Per-lookup figures divide the published price by the published allowance, so they are comparable, not quoted.

Competitor figures are list prices as published, not quotes, and come from secondary sources, each linked with the date we read it. Where a provider publishes no usable allowance the per-lookup column shows n/a.

Price moves buyers within a band, not between bands: incumbents sell a credit score, limit, CCJs and payment data, which Registrum does not carry.

Switching from OpenCorporates

OpenCorporates lists £2,250/yr for 500 calls/month on an annual term. If you use it for UK registry fields only, you are paying for jurisdictions you do not query.

What you lose

  • Credit score and credit limit.
  • CCJs and payment data.
  • Multi-jurisdiction coverage: Registrum is UK only.
  • Document ordering.

What you gain

  • Parsed iXBRL financials as JSON, with a data_quality block that says what was and was not extracted.
  • PSC chain traced to the ultimate beneficial owner, with ECCTA verification status per person.
  • Director networks across companies.
  • Signed webhooks when a watched company changes.
  • A Companies House allowance of 1,200 requests per 5 minutes behind a cache, against the 600 you get on your own key.
  • A keyless MCP endpoint to try it before you sign up.
  • No contract.

Switching from DataGardener

DataGardener lists £9,745–19,745/yr platform; API £1.09–1.79 per call + £500. If the API is what you use rather than the platform, the platform fee is the part to question.

What you lose

  • Credit score and credit limit.
  • CCJs and payment data.
  • Multi-jurisdiction coverage: Registrum is UK only.
  • Document ordering.

Switching from a Creditsafe API seat

Creditsafe lists £500 licence + £0.20 per report (G-Cloud). If the seat exists to read registry fields inside your own product, the credit data is the part you are not using.

What you lose

  • Credit score and credit limit.
  • CCJs and payment data.
